Education is the cornerstone of our mission: We provide education for children through school-based programs. We also reach out to their families to help them become self-sufficient through income-generating projects and access to quality healthcare.
For the semi-urban village of Nabbingo and rural Migyera, our multi-pronged approach is already becoming a model of excellence in the following areas: Education, HealthCare and Micro-Enterprise.
Father Lawrence Kizito Kimbowa, along with Jean Semler and David Thelen, founded Change A Life Uganda in 2007. The inspiration behind our organization was Father Lawrence’s own experience as a child. He is dedicated to giving the children of his home country the rare opportunity he was given as a child–an education and a chance to make a difference.
Half of Uganda’s population is under 15 years old. Many children have lost either one or both parents to HIV/AIDS and for most, a quality education is not an option. Our goal is to put an end to this cycle of hardship, poverty and inadequate healthcare, but we need your help.
